VTI achieved ISO 27001

On November 13rd, 2018, the Representative of TUV Nord certifying organization confirmed that VTI had completed convincing 07 points that are not suitable for the standard after the second phase of evaluation. In December, 2018, VTI will officially receive the ISO 27001: 2013 Information Security Certification from the 150-year-old German organization.
The ISO 27001 project was launched on 2/1/2018 and was the first project of ISMS. The objective of the project is to: develop a regulatory framework, policies and procedures for information security; identify security risks for the organization and apply appropriate controls; develop and provide cognitive training programs for employees; set up contingency plans to ensure information security and business continuity; apply the PDCA process and ensure continuous improvement of the system.
Initially, the young inexperienced ISMS team faced lots of challenges because of the massive workload that covered many areas, required close coordination of many departments of ISO 27001. There are also shortages of human power due to the fact that staff must work concurrently with other tasks other than ISO. However thanks to the dedicated support, tireless management of the team of consultants, QA team, and many typical individuals, ISMS team overcame the strict assessment of TUV Nord to officially achieve ISO 27001: 2013 certificate.
